Breif History
Maretha International Preparatory High School and Day Care Center is the dream child of two “YOUNG LADIES” Mrs. Mallah Toe-Ross and Mrs. Oretha Doekieh Neoh graduates of William V. S. Tubman Teachers College of the University of Liberia. At the Assertion of the major hostilities in the educational sector of the society, especially among the impoverished masses, Maretha began operation in 1992, on the 16th Street Sinkor. Despite the odds, Maretha International Preparatory High School and Day Care Center suffered as a result of the various facets of the civil crisis such as the Octopus of 1992, the April 6, 1996 etc., coupled with the struggle to erect a building of its own, Maretha International Preparatory High School and Day Care Center Continues to brave the test of time. To date, the school has a Branch on Duport Road, Paynesville that caters to the students within the area and its environs.
The 3rd Street Branch, the oldest, continues to serve Sinkor and its environs. The team of staff members is headed by Ms. Alice T. Jomah and Mrs. Mallah M. Toe-Ross Coordinator and Proprietress respectively. Maretha International Preparatory High School and Day Care Center has developed into a school system. Mrs. Mallah M. Toe-Ross(Founder) was born April 7, 1958 in Greenville, Sinoe County, Liberia. Mrs. Mallah M. Toe-Ross obtained her BSC in Education at the University of Liberia, (March 1979 – April 1984).
Mrs. Mallah M. Toe-Ross qualifications:

- Obtained Certificate, Chinese Language- Beijing Language institute, Peoples Republic of China
