Every child has the right to Education, and early childhood education is no exception.
The foundation of a child's education is highly dependent upon his/her pre-school education. Additionally, any failure on the path of parents, teachers, administrators, and/or the government at large to ensure the enrollment of children within the pre-school age will lead to a compromise of that child's future education.
Here at MIPHS, our Pre-school division has several benefits, some of which includes:
- Preparation for Kindergarten- Pre-math and pre-literacy skills are key components of every pre-school, play time as well is very important in the expansion of a child's mind. In order to ensure that children are fully prepared for kindergarten, activities are designed to enhance the social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical abilities of these children.
- Establishing social and emotional freedom with classmates and with the teacher(s)- Students at 3years and above have the adjective capacity to adjust to and build a secured relationship with their friends/classmates and teacher(s)/caregivers. Working together in pairs or in groups also teach them good working relationship and to care for one another. A conducive class/environment also helps to enhance social interaction and minimize conflicts and congestion among pupils.
- Discovering Pupil's learning abilities- Children have several learning abilities some learn through visuals (images and videos), by hearing(songs, jingles, or stories being read), or by practice (writing, drawing, and other activities). Discovering each child's learning abilities empowers the teachers with more knowledge on how to teach a particular child as per his/her specific learning ability/abilities.
- Fueling children's curiosity- Pre-school teachers interact with their Pupil's on a daily basis, thus knowing which learning material, art, or activity draws each Pupil's attention, such knowledge is therefore used to nurture each child's curiosity in order to build his or her unique skills and abilities.
