OBJECTIVES OF THE INSTITUTION
The Founder of Maretha International Preparatory School System envisioned the school system as a Christian and Secular Institution. The Maretha International Preparatory School System’s educational goals are based on the tradition of global learning perspective through quality education which encourages parents and youths toward the growth and development of the total individual as a whole. The system shares the conviction that peace is the surest way to promote reflection, self-understanding, and a sense of self-worth in all students nationally and internationally. In a broader context, the school system is established to fulfill the following as specific objectives:
- To promote and engage in educational and charitable activities in Liberia that will make education more vibrant and accessible for Liberians and residents from underprivileged backgrounds.
- To provide quality basic pre-primary, primary, Junior and Senior High education to youths on the basis of the No-Child-Left-Behind International Policy.
- To provide quality education for all youths irrespective of race, religion, nationality, or tribal background.
- To provide moral, physical, and spiritual discipline to students as a fundamental component of the learning process, and an abiding faith in Jehovah God.
- To mold the minds of students against the odds in society and create the sense of nationalism that enable students contribute meaningfully to the economic, social, education, and security progress of national development.
- To enable the student, use his/her leisure time constructively.
- To promote academic excellence and help to upgrade the standard of the Liberian education.
- To help student develop their aesthetic sensibilities and enable them appreciate their cultural heritage through music, art, and literature.
- To create awareness of the danger of conflict the world over, and sharpen the minds of students toward conflict resolution on the basis of peaceful co-existence.
